I lived in Korea for 3 years after college. Another great short rib recipe is called galbee or kalbii beef. It is all about the sauce. I think you could slow cook it with the short ribs. They slice the short ribs very thin for that recipe, like a 1/2". It is a sweet and tangy flavor. Keep some sesame oil in your cupboard if your family likes Asian dishes. It really adds an awesome flavor as a finishing oil.
I'll have to try this recipe! The short ribs usually get picked last in the lineup of cuts. We always buy a full beef. I sometimes add in short ribs (sooo fatty) to my regular stew meat for beef stew. The stew meat is so lean.
The title of this one is misleading. It should indicate that these meals are meant for carnivores instead of making it sound as if everyone will be happy with these.
The meals aren’t meant for carnivores. A carnivore would never eat a piece of French toast, or anything with fresh veg, rice, etc… What types of meals do you prefer in your crockpot? You have me curious!
@@thehometownhomestead also by carnivore, I did not mean someone who only eats meat. I meant that they were not vegan friendly meals given that vegans do not eat meat or eggs and French toast also has eggs. So these would not be meals for the whole family if one was vegan.

Love the idea of keeping the ingredients of ingredients in your pantry to make things like brown sugar and your own spice blends
@@crystalh1402 yep! Also a good blender will powder sugar also. I no longer buy either!
